As a former Marine Corps Infantry Officer, it was always Michael’s dream to open a coffee shop focused on community and bringing people together. Today Michael takes Latane through the space, talking through the process of sourcing good coffee, developing great blends, and centering the customer’s journey around visually seeing their coffee roasting. Compass Coffee has made their mark around the District in a remarkable period of time, and survived the biggest economic challenge of the century with the COVID-19 Pandemic. Throughout these challenges, they’ve stayed true to their ultimate mission of always making good coffee
